AUTO MILITARY SNIPER RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 5793363. Bbl. 24". Barrel is marked "S-A-6-52". Throat and muzzle gauge 2.0. Barrel equipped with T-37 prong type flash suppressor. Rifle is equipped with M84 telescopic sight. Reticle is the correct untapered post and crosshair. Scope retains its original nomenclature plate, rubber eye-cup and sliding sun-shield. Correct M1D scope mount. Rifle is assembled on a very late production Harrington and Richardson receiver. T105E1 rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. Bolt is marked "HRA". Balance of parts markings including the uncut operating rod are "SA". Milled trigger guard. Unmarked walnut stock set. Reproduction military style leather sling. CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal rework finish with light wear and scattered small handling marks. Notable scratch on right side of buttstock. Metal parts retain 90% of their arsenal rework finish with light wear. Scope has an arsenal rework blue finish with peppery oxidation. Sun-shade has notably thinner oxidized finish. Ocular lens has several small specks, but optics are mostly clear and serviceable. Very good shiny bore. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH. (26-2532/RW).
